Write a blog.

Every week, I get a reminder from my google calendar to “Write a blog.”  It’s also a reminder for me to exercise my mind, my emotions, my heart.  Getting to know what I feel inside and put into writing.  With all the hustle and bustle of life and the work that I am involved in, it’s a good exercise to quiet down and write something.  To write and notice those small little things that makes you appreciate why we have been created in such a way we are what we are now.

Makes me thankful.  For the past few months, I have been involved in planning different events for the mission and for life.  My mind and heart has been used in such a way that I could not even imagine.  And I learned a lot.  I met new friends and co-workers/missionaries which actually challenged me and made me better.  And yes, made me cling on to God and the Saints more.  haha.

Just like writing a blog, our thoughts are converted into personal words that shows you who you are.  At the same time, typing those thoughts can actually allow you to know more about yourself; your wants, needs, and desires.  Realizing this, it made me feel “kilig” (giddy) in such a way that my heart yearns for more.  Yearns for more knowledge and challenges.  For more simple joys, simple acts of kindness, simple music that makes you dance and live life as if it’s worth to be written.

Write it so that people can hear it and it slides through their brain and goes straight to the heart. – Maya Angelou
